Investments & Savings

Investing money needs careful consideration and you need to be absolutely sure of the risks involved. We can provide you the advice appropriate to your specific circumstances prior to making any decisions.

This section provides examples of different types of saving & investment.

Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs)

Investment Bonds

Investment bonds are single premium life assurance policies, which are either:
  • Unit-linked - in which your premium is invested into underlying funds and fluctuate to the market movement
  • With-profits - in which the sum assured will increase with paid bonuses related to the company's profits.

Fixed-Term Deposit Accounts

Offered by commercial banks and building societies, you can deposit cash into a variety of savings accounts with a fixed interest rate of interest for a specified period. There are also Cash ISAs available with similar fixed interest rates. We can research into the best fixed interest-rate available for deposit accounts or Cash ISAs for you and assist with your application.

Investment Strategy Review and Recommendations

You may be questioning whether your investments are performing as they should, or if you are paying too much in annual charges. By recording your attitude to risk and investment objectives, we can then research and compare your existing funds against their standard benchmarks and potentially recommend other funds that match your objectives and risk profile, to potentially provide better return and reduce annual charges.

There are also Managed Portfolio Services, in which investment companies offer a range of portfolios that differ in investment objectives and risk profiles. We can carry out research to determine if these would be suitable to your requirements.

Capital Gains Tax Planning

With certain financial instruments, you may be subject to Capital Gains Tax on potential income or gains you receive.  To mitigate this, we can provide reviews and tailored advice before any withdrawal is made, by accessing the impact this request will have and how you may mitigate the tax you will need to pay.
